Overview

Comenge 2013 Crianza

Reflects the typical character of the Ribera del Duero, an end region for the cultivation of grapes where weather plays a dominant role. The year was characterized by frequent rains in spring months, making our vineyards in beautiful natural grasslands. Under these conditions of scarcity of sun and moderate temperatures, delayed ripening of vines until the end of October. To ensure the ripening of the grapes and their good health, income on the left on the vines was very low (2800-3200 kg / ha). The ecological management of the vineyards showed the huge difference in the benefit of the quality that this type of wine involved, avoiding the appearance of diseases, of course regulating plant growth and a significant improvement in the lighting and aeration of The clusters, reaching the late harvest date (3rd week of October) with perfectly healthy and mature grapes that today enable us to offer high quality wine can reflect the unique character of this vintage.

Test notes

Color purple cherry. The first olfactory sensations are very suggestive, remembering fresh red fruit, herbs and fine wood, from which the work in the vineyard and winery. The taste has a fresh fluid passage, filling us with memories of red fruit, creamy nuts (toffee, cocoa) and flowers (violet). It is a wine of great wealth, with a good conservation potential in the future. A wine of charm, taste and a rare sensuality.
